“Peace can prevail only through fairness” – Diana Abgar 

Diana Abgar was born in Burma. She received English education and settled in Japan. In 1892, she published her first book (“Susan in Kobe”) and later the book Home stories of the war. In 1910s, she was publishing books in English mostly devoted to Armenian topics – The truth about the Armenian Massacres, The case of the Armenians etc. The issues such as her nation and peace in the world concerning Diana Abgar deeply gave birth to the books entitled The Peace Problem, Peace and no Peace, The peace of Europe. Later Diana Abgar devoted herself to the support of Armenian refugees. In 1919, Diana Abgar was appointed as Council of the Republic of Armenia in Japan and in 1920 she was Diplomatic Representative of the Republic of Armenia in the Far East becoming one of the first female diplomats in the world or the first one[1].
