Araksi was a daughter of a well-known family dynasty of Aintab. She was very keen to learn, thus she finished the local Haykanushian School and the American College of Marash. Later, she dedicated herself to teaching at the Haykanushian and Krtasirats Lyceums.
Araksi had so much faith in the educational work that she contributed to the approval of Haykanushian’s secondary department. Beside teaching, Araksi was organizing a series of lectures for the upbringing of Aintab women, following the example of the previous teachers.
Along with educational activities, Araksi Tchepetchian also supported the Women’s Parzasirats (simple manners) Organization, which cared for the expenses of needy girls’ education.
