Satenik was a teacher by vocation, but she was engaged in public activities during her entire life. After the adoption of the Ottoman constitution, Satenik left for Constantinople, where she organized the Red Cross of Constantinople and founded the Labor House, which was aimed at supporting poor and helpless Armenians to find a job, so that they were not forced to panhandle. One of the greatest skills of Satenik was the ability to use the environment in favor of her enterprises to help people. During her stay in Constantinople, many groups of women were formed that helped the vulnerable people in the beginning of the 20th century.
