Nektar was a public figure. She was born in Constantinople and married Astvatsatur Jund, a famous merchant and intellectual figure, who received the title of cavalier from the emperor of Austria Francis Joseph I. Nektar was one of the founders of “Patriotic Armenian women (Azganuēr hayuheats‛)” foundation. With her husband she was a creator of the foundation “Chevalier Tchunt”, which aimed to shade the wise and poor Armenian young people to get an education at the universities of Europe. She passed away in Paris and is buried in the Armenian cemetery of Istanbul-Shishli. After her death her husband dedicated her a writing “In the mournful memory of Mrs. Jund” [1].
