Eugenia Cruşevan (1889 – 1976)

Eugenia Crushevan was born on July 29, 1889, in the small town of Falesti, in the family of Epaminond Crushevan, who was a public notary and who raised four children.

High school studies, starting with class III, she tooked at the N.Dadiani High School in Chisinau. She graduated in 1906 with a media of 4.57. The Bachelor Degree was achieved during the revolution in 1918 at the Law Faculty of the University of Moscow.

On October 17, 1919 at the meeting of the united sections of the Chisinau Court of Appeal, was the ceremony of taking the oath as an attorney by Miss Eugenia Crushevan, law graduate of the University of Moscow, which the council of the body of lawyers registered with unanimity of votes in the Basarabian Bar Association.

She was a member of the Bar Association of Lawyers in Chişinău, a legal advisor to the Eparchial Council of the Archdiocese of Chisinau and Hotin, Secretary of the Romanian Women Society. On June 6, 1944, she received an immediate evacuation order, issued by the Chisinau City Hall, indicating the place of destination – the city of Craiova and the right to a baggage of 60 kg. For reasons that have not yet been lent, she stopped in Buzau, where she worked until she retired.
